What duct cleaning does
Duct cleaning removes dust, pet hair, pollen and debris that have collected inside the supply and return ducts, the vents and the area around the air handler. When ducts are visibly dirty, cleaning them removes that buildup so it isn't sitting in the path of the air that moves through your home.
What it doesn't do
Duct cleaning is not a medical treatment. It won't cure allergies or asthma, and it's only one part of indoor air quality. We'd rather be honest about that than promise something we can't deliver. If allergies are serious, talk to your doctor about what may be triggering them.
When duct cleaning makes the most sense
- You can see dust or debris inside the ducts or on the vents
- You have pets that shed
- The home was recently renovated and construction dust got into the system
- You moved into a home and don't know when the ducts were last cleaned
Simple steps that help indoor air
Change your AC filter on schedule, and use the filter rating your system is designed for. Vacuum regularly, ideally with a HEPA vacuum. Keep pets groomed. Run bathroom and kitchen exhaust fans to control moisture. Have your AC system serviced on a regular schedule.
See it for yourself
During an inspection we take photos inside your ducts so you can see what's there before you decide anything.
